A designated 30 minute “ENCORE” block further supports differentiated instruction with regards to remediation, practice, and enrichment. In addition to core classroom instruction, students in need of additional support participate in an intervention program. The process provides tiered intervention that increase in frequency and duration of support and uses scientifically researched instructional practices and progress monitoring tools to determine effectiveness and future instruction.  Classroom instruction is supported by reading and math specialists, special education teachers, pupil services providers, and paraprofessionals who work closely with each team of teachers to monitor student progress.
